The Tasmanian Photographic Federation participates in the yearly APIC.  This is a state entry competition only.  A panel of volunteers select images from the Photographer of the year, Inter-club and any other competition that the TPF may hold.  Entries are submitted on the 1st of August of each year.

The AIPC is not an Australian Photographic Society (APS) competition as such but it has a co-ordinating role in so far as it provides the awards in each section.

The AIPC is a digital competition with only two digital categories:  colour and monochrome.  Each state submits 10 entries in each category, selected from club members.

Members are required to give consent for their images to be selected from the various TPF competitions.
